Nalut - Muammar Gaddafi’s forces have bombarded the vicinities of the Libyan city of Nalut close to the border with Tunisia on Sunday evening, AFP reported.
The Libyan forces were firing Grad missiles on the mountainous road leading to the border with Tunisia. The Libyan rebels control the city of Nalut and a road from the border to Zintan, which lies 200 km in the east. At the same time Gaddafi’s forces are trying to cut the communications between the rebel-held cities in the western regions of the country.
Although the border with Tunisia is officially closed, it could still be crossed, said the Libyan rebels on site.
Earlier residents of Nalut sought shelter in Zintan, saying there was violent fighting 30 km northwest of the city where Gaddafi’s forces were trying to block the border completely.

Het gaat er hard aan toe in de Nefoussa regio. De troepen van Khaddafi hebben de hoofdstad van Nefoussa, Nalut, gebombardeerd met clusterbommen, er zijn meer dan 100 doden gevallen. Khaddafi wou al eerder alle Imazighen in Libië uitroeien, nu kan het eindelijk, hij heeft zogenaamd het argument om de Imazighen aan te vallen. Ik hoop dat mijn Imazighen broeders sterk blijven en verzet kunnen bieden tegen dat gearabiseerde tuig.
