King to pay for hospitalization expenses of Moroccans injured in road accident in France

Rabat, May 23 - King Mohammed VI decided to pay for the hospitalization expenses of the Moroccan expatriates injured in a road accident that occurred, early Friday, central France.

Seven Moroccans have been killed and several others suffered injuries when a French bus swerved on a motorway near the city of Blois, and crushed into a pillar supporting a bridge, police sources reported.

A press release of the Royal office underlined that the Monarch will also take care of the costs of sending back home the remains of the victims, noting that the king expressed compassion for the victims and wished them speedy recovery.

The bus, which was carrying 32 people, including the two drivers, was heading to the Paris region.

Four helicopters, 140 firefighters and 25 police were dispatched to the site of the accident to evacuate the injured to the hospitals.
