I don't like acting as a prof. but however, i like to give my opinions.
trying to understand the rootses of the berber words, show that the berber language is a naive/primitive language using the simplest description based on the eyenotes. I would call it an associative language.
Therefore, the word for bat would may be related to the "mouse" aghardha in the language.

By the way, there were once elephants in north african deserts, because there were not deserts in antiquity.
The elephants were useful in ancient morocco/mauretania. Their skin was used to protect themselves in the war.
Hannibal has used the northafrican elephants to assault Rome.

Unfortunatly: we have no amazighbooks, dairys of Hanniball, paints of Mauritanians or something written on stone, that names the animals.

This we call: Thazermumect ( tha-zer-mu-méct).  It is a tiny salamander, colourd green, it walks very fast. the skin is very smooth.
Is harmless ( no poison!)

Thmurghi is also sauteriaux, but they fly higher and live in groups. They mostly are in the sahel country's. And from there they attack Tamazgha :(
We use also that word for them in Rifland.

We noemen die gore beesten ook 'bwaxxes'.

Wel komt een maad bij ons voor die in het donker licht geeft. Ik heb ze wel eens in de natuur gevonden en in een jampotje gezet. in de avond uren gebruikte ik het dan als een lampje. We noemen het '' t'ccidho''.

Wie kent de 'tunya'? Bij ibdarsen wordt dit woord gebruikt om een bepaalde insect aan te duiden. Waarschijnlijk een soort worm die ook in je lichaam voor kan komen.

Duizendpoot wordt ook wel 'tamcett n yixsan' genoemd. En dan hebben we nog de 'zinzar'. Wie weet de Nederlandse benaming daarvoor?

Then what`s your word for bat ? In my Tamazight the word for bat (abejerwad) is in no way related to the word for mouse (aghardha).
